Crawley, UK, October 10, 2019 – Macro 4, a division of UNICOM Global, will discuss the all-important topics of mainframe security and how emerging technologies are driving the second wave of mainframe digital transformation when it takes part at the GSE UK Conference from 5th to 7th November.
Keith Banham, Macro 4’s R&D Manager, Mainframe, will join Mark Wilson of RSM Partners to present ‘Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) – defence against the dark side’ at 11:45 on Thursday 7th November. Security is a key feature of the mainframe and z/OS, but the ‘baddies’ are using more sophisticated methods to try to hack into your systems and manipulate your valuable and sensitive data. So how do you defend your systems against these attacks and remain the right side of compliance and regulations? This session will examine these threats and explain how and where to use MFA to stop them.
The event’s Exec Stream takes place on Wednesday 6th November where Neil Evans, Macro 4’s Chief Technology Officer, EMEA will present ‘The mainframe renaissance - Using emerging technologies to drive the second wave of digital transformation’. The first wave of digital transformation focused on the end customer – delivering the seamless web and mobile experiences that consumers expect. Neil will describe the second wave of digital transformation: delivering the same consumer-grade digital experiences to drive transformation from the ‘inside out’. He will explain how the latest advancements on the Z platform are being blended with mainframe systems to empower business and technical users, deliver innovation and ultimately provide the differentiated services that will make organizations stand out.
Alongside the conference, Macro 4 will be exhibiting its solutions for mainframe modernization with a preview of the UniGW® Universal Gateway: a web-enabled dashboard environment that makes it easier than ever to access and interpret mainframe systems data, collaborate on problem resolution, and produce high quality management information. You will find us on stand 23.
